The menu names can shift a little between app versions; if you do not see it, type “Free Trial” in the app’s search bar.
How to apply, step by step
- Sign in to your SHEIN account on the U.S. app or website, or create one for free.
- Open the Free Trial Center and browse the items currently open for applications.
- Pick up to three items you would genuinely use. SHEIN allows at most three applications per week.
- Choose your size the same way you would if you were buying.
- Confirm your U.S. shipping address and submit the application.
- Check the status of your applications in the Free Trial Center. SHEIN’s FAQ suggests looking again about a week after you apply.
How selection works
SHEIN says participants are chosen at random by its automated system, and that the odds depend on how many people apply for the same item. No trick or timing guarantees a spot. Two basic conditions do apply:

The three details that keep you eligible
Post your review on time
After the item arrives, SHEIN gives you a deadline to submit your review. At the time of writing, its help page sets it at 10 days from receiving the item.
Write a review SHEIN accepts
SHEIN asks for a full-body photo plus two close-ups of details, along with honest notes on fit, fabric and size. If a review does not meet the requirements, you get one chance to rewrite it.
Keep your account in good standing
Use one account, a real shipping address in the right country and honest reviews, including when you did not like the item. Fake or copied content is not accepted.
The “My Free Trial” page (see the screenshots above) also says approved reviews earn SHEIN Points, with extra points when SHEIN rates a review as high quality. Point amounts and their discount value can change, so check the current numbers in your app.

Shipping and customs duties
When you are selected, SHEIN sends the item to the address you entered. SHEIN’s rules say that if a Free Trial package is held by customs or charged any customs duty or tariff, the participant is responsible for clearing customs and paying it. If your item has not arrived after 30 days, SHEIN asks you to contact its customer service.
How to spot fake “free SHEIN” offers
- The real program lives inside your SHEIN account, not on a separate website or form.
- SHEIN does not charge a fee to receive a Free Trial item.
- Be careful with messages, pop-ups or sites that ask for your card number, password or a “shipping fee” to claim a prize.
- When in doubt, open the SHEIN app directly instead of following a link.
